About

Where we tell you about who are we and what are we up to.

Landing your first developer job can be a daunting and difficult process.

Once you get in and gain some experience, finding subsequent jobs becomes little easier. Recruiters reach out to you, you build your network and even your cold emails start getting attention. But for all that to happen, you need a start. And that’s where we come in. We believe with the right knowledge and experience, things can become easier.

We are group of three friends who are making FirstDevJob to help you find your very first developer job. FirstDevJob contains jobs for entry-level and junior roles, resources to help you increase your chances of getting in, and real stories from real people who went through the same process themselves. Learn from their insights, and a lot, lot more.

Who is this NOT for?

If you are a grad (or soon to graduate) from a top school with a reputed CS program, and want to only work for Big 4 (Google, Amazon, Facebook or Microsoft), this might not be for you. The interview process at those companies is different.

Although some of the advice may still apply, our primary audience is all the other people. They might not have the CS background and their target companies are not the Big 4. They are mostly self-taught and want to break into software development.
